A. INCORPORATION

NISSAN CAR LEASE PHILIPPINES, INC. (NCLPI), was incorporated in February 1992, and started operations on April 1, 1992 under the trade name Nissan Rent-A-Car/Car Lease - a product of collaboration among Nissan Motor Philippines, Inc., Marubeni Corporation of Japan and Dragon Transport Resources, Inc., with the participation of Universal Motors Corporation.

MARUBENI CORPORATION OF JAPAN is one of the world’s biggest trading companies.

NISSAN MOTOR PHILIPPINES, INC. (NMPI) is the assembler of NISSAN vehicles such as:  Teana, Cefiro, Murano, Sentra, Serena, and X-Trail.

DRAGON TRANSPORT RESOURCES, INC. (DTRI) is a holding corporation formed by several professionals who are experts in various areas such as financial services, corporate management, offshore banking, heavy equipment distribution and servicing, auto manufacturing and marketing and auto dealership and shop service.

UNIVERSAL MOTORS CORPORATION (UMC) is the assembler of NISSAN commercial vehicles such as the Nissan Patrol, Frontier Pick-up, and the Urvan.

NCLPI is operating its car lease business under license of NISSAN CAR LEASING LIMITED OF JAPAN, which operates 200,000 rental and leased vehicles from 500 outlets in Japan, Guam and the Philippines.

B. Board and Management Team

NCLPI’s Board and Management Team consists of seasoned professionals who have had experience in servicing the needs and demands of the transport service industry gained from over twenty (20) years of experience in car rental, tourism, hospitality, professional service and other related industries.

C. Wide Selection of Vehicles

NCLPI provides its clients with the widest array of vehicles from the high-end Mercedes Benz S-Class limousine, mid-size sedans to compact sedans and from mini buses to vans. NCLPI vehicles are air-conditioned, well groomed and for certain services, are equipped with two-way radio for security and operating efficiency.

Today, after fifteen (15) years, NCLPI has over 400 company-owned vehicles of various brands and models.

D. Vehicle Accident Insurance Coverage

All vehicles are properly covered by Vehicle Accident Insurance. NCLPI provides the highest personal accident insurance and third party (bodily injury and property damage) coverage in the car rental industry.

E. Franchise and Accreditation

All vehicles are duly franchised with the Land Transport Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and accredited with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
